The position would ideally suit a UK or Mainland European broadcaster who can consistently deliver a quality broadcast which would like to see grow throughout. BROADCASTING RULES & REGULATIONS:
- Do not Broadcast under the influence of Alcohol or any other Substance
- Do not promote anything that is deemed to either be illegal or immoral
- Do not promote racism or hate crimes over broadcasting.
- Do not Broadcast Personal Arguments or Hate speeches on the radio. We are not liable for your own Personal Affairs.
- Unless you’re broadcasting between the hours of 9PM to 5AM, you must refrain from swearing on the air.
- Refrain from bring up religious, political, unethical or moral topics that can start debates and arguments unless you have been given the go ahead by management (IE. You host a Discussion Show or ‘Lets get things straight’ Style Show). Even so, you as a presenter must remain open minded and listen to 2 sides of the story and stop the debate if is deemed to be getting out of control.
- You must take responsibility and liability for your own radio show. This includes playing appropriate music, broadcasting appropriate content, ensuring the responsibility of your callers and ensuring you commit no illegal offence whilst on the air.
- If discussing world matters, please make sure it is not sensitive information that could cause offence. If you do accidently broadcast something that causes offence to someone, make an on-air apology and direct those who are offended to a member of management.
- In no way are you to disrespect other companies.
- If a fine is received and you are responsible, you will have full responsibility of dealing with the courts in question should you refuse the liability of your own actions.

Requirements
The successful applicant would need to be able to broadcast a wide variety of music with a conversational focus on well anything you can think off with associated content and discussion and be at least 18 years of age. Applicants would need to demonstrate that they have a reliable internet connection (No wireless, wired only connections) capable of a 256kbps upstream (New Era Radio streams at 128kbps), a library of 800+ genre specific songs and a decent quality microphone for broadcast. In addition, the applicant would be required to demonstrate a clear speaking voice and the ability to sound both confident and capable while on air.
Applicants will also be required to provide their own broadcast software/equipment and be familiar enough with it to produce a 30 minute demonstration show that will be broadcast on our test servers to the recruitment staff for evaluation.
The successful applicant will be required to follow established OFCOM broadcast rules and regulations. You may also be asked to provide information as part of our fraud prevention measures. Your Information will not be used for anything other than these measures and will be protected under the Data Protection Act.

For example, the recruitment website specifies a minimum of 2500 MP3's to be considered for a DJ position whereas this particular role only requires some easy listeningl songs to be considered.

Being an New Era Radio DJ requires that you commit yourself to the chosen slot and make every effort to be on line and in the staff channel a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the start of your show as well as thoroughly test your broadcast equipment and connection before going on air. You are also expected to at all times respect your fellow staff members and listening audience and not indulge in any activities on air or off that may bring the New Era Radio Network brand into disrepute. This includes (but is not limited to) any form of unauthorised access to our servers, websites and associated technologies or conduct any inappropriate hateful, homophobic or racist behaviour towards members of staff, listeners or partner organisations. Failure to adhere to these basic principles may result in your immediate termination from New Era Radio and (if neccesary) possible legal procedings.
